Any better action happening this week. Heard on 950 AM this morning that the run hasn't even started it was stated that the next week or two will be unreal (yeah right)....I believe that ,as having fished there for the past three weekends , I am sorely dissapointed in the return. Out of the bazillions of pinks that are supposed to be running I cant fathom that what I have seen is the "run"

Anyone doing HC had different results?
Thanks in Advance guys/gals

Paul

Maybe I just picked the wrong time to stop by. I was there late Friday afternoon during high tide. I did not see any fish in the tanks or the entry creek. There were less than 10 fishermen in the water who looked bored and who appeared to be casting to empty water. I did see one fish on a stringer that belogned to a person with a float tube near by. To the North there was boat after boat along the pilings and shore. I never saw a net in action or anyone with a bent rod from any of these boats. I was there for about 45 minutes. I don't know what if anything happen after I left.

Going to be camping with the family just north of Liliwaup on Tuesday and Wednesday. Was going to try the beach at Hoodsport. Can anyone give me any advice as to the bait/lure of choice is there? Thanks in advance.

I don't know what you people are talking about. slap Fished all Wednesday evnening with my bug rod and C&R 4 and LDR 3. and thouse where just the ones in the mouth! There where thousands of them. The pinks where even pushing the creek at low tide; seeing as it was a 6 foot low tide. Thouse fish lasted up through the tide change and then held off the north edge by a couple feet after high tide. Great fun on the fly! smile

Slipknot:

I would advice a sparce pink fly if you got the gear. If you don't, a small bobber and either a small pink marabou or rabbit hair jig works great to get above the weeds.
