Here is my fish of a lifetime....I think....well at least this week! 46 length by 31.75 girth, do the math and it weighs 59.8 pounds. Oh and the little one weighed 42. What a year for big fish at Westport, my brother caught a 39 on his boat and my fishing partner, Michael Brazeau caught a 46 on Saturday! Steve Ng ttt

I would say you had the weekend that we all dream about. Congratulations those are some beautiful fish. Are you still going offshore or have they moved in closer?

Yes those fish are still offshore and even though some are getting color, these guys were chrome bright, and the coho are nice fish too now. We have been going out to about 240 to 250 feet of water to get the bigger fish. I think thats about 14 miles or so from the harbor. Whats nice is that being a Puget Sound Angler member, is the communication that goes on with our members. We were not catching any large fish on Monday, so we called a friend of mine (Mark Abetz) who was in Tacoma working, and he told us of some big fish that one of the guys had caught, were straight out in deeper water. So I plotted a course straight out from the harbor and in a depth of 260 on the chart , got to 230 and started trolling deeper until we hit fish. We were using herring (brined) and a fish flash for most of our fish. The fish seem to have stopped feeding though, because the bellys are now mostly empty when gutted. And yes, I am contemplating on having a replica made.......although it will be costly, I'm sure.
BTW....Thanks Guys, and get out there!

Wow! That is the fish of a lifetime. I think the $$$ on a mount would be well worth it.
