Steve, Glad you and Jerry got it down for the HUGE kings. I have been fishing out there every weekend and have caught tons of 30#s for an average. I have never seen a fishery like this in the US-ever! I know you guys will still be out trying to break your record. See you on the water.

Was thinking about heading that way this weekend. Anyone have any suggestions on where a guy would go. I heard about 10 miles due West from the end of the jetty. Not sure. Thanks for the help.

Thanks Havnfun, I run into you all the time and see you on the road too. Anyways, since I fish out of my own boat, that fish is not in the derby because it is Charters only.
I think it might just take our psa chapters "Largest Salmon Honors " though.
But, who knows with all these large fish coming in and river fishing on the way!

Take it easy and I will see you on the Fraser again this year.

Steve

Steve, were you using a down rigger. How deep were you when you hooked up?

Yes, I was using a Scotty electric and I was fishing 65 feet of wire with a 12 pound ball.
To find the fish, I had been starting around 35 and letting out 5 or ten feet at a time and then let it fish for a few minutes, then down she went again until I found fish.
Those fish are often at different depths daily and this method works for me.
