caught yesterday morning (3 sept) with a dart in less then 20 feet of water....learned a little trick, I was having trouble keeping the big guys hooked up with the trouble hooks on the darts, Gary from holiday market sugested to switch to a siwash single hook. it worked well...dj

I always switch the treble to a siwash (or a double octupus setup).

When I used to fish early run kings/b-mouth, off of admirality head, I only landed bout one outta three!!

Problem w/those types of jigs is the fish shakes his head and that big ol jig goes back-n-forth eventually working the hook lose..

I always use the smallest jig that will reach bottom and stay there, seems to help.

But. I was always fishin where the candlefish were right on the bottom...
