Are these boats any good? I saw a 14 ft. with a 25 hp outboard for 2k, looked like a decent boat... but would it really be worth 2k???

Thanks

Curtis

Growing up in the Edmonds area, we used a 12 ft mirrocraft, and did not have the $ for a motor, so we rented them!
We used to take the lil' boat all over the place.
Farthest we ever ventured from Edmonds was Bush Point.
On decent days they will do fine!, as with ANY size boat, if it is nasty, you should not be there anyways.
Our main gig was fishing posession, it was hunt and seek for birds and riptides.

The boat did just fine with 2 people.

I have an 18ft Seaswirl in the classifieds, it is bigger and more motor, but I still don't venture too far!, no need too <img border="0" alt="[eat]" title="" src="graemlins/eat.gif" />

Hope that helps!

Curtis, I fished for 2 years in the sound out of a 14' Mirrorcraft. It worked just fine, but like anyone else, I wanted a bigger and safer boat.
If I was you, I'd keep an eye on Boat Trader.com. You can come across some screamin deals.

Woodsy Wayne,

Where do you rent motors?

It has been a long while since I have had to rent motors, that was in my youth, I grew up around Edmonds.
BUT, we used to rent em at any rental place, and McConnels boathouse, back then.Aurora Rents comes to mind, they rent boats too.
Now I have a boat and a kicker that seem to work good, so I don't rent em anymore.

I would try any rental place, they usually have motors for rental. If not email me, go for a ride and pitch in for some gas/launch fees!

I always launch at Edmonds, I like to be "centrally located.

Hope that helps
