The river opens on October 1st (next week). Maybe some of us can get together down at Cosmopolis and fish the river??? Lots of those wild Kings which must be released but also some huge Coho. I love that fishery and also the one in Grays Harbor. The nets go in to scoop up some of those threatened wild Kings about the second week of Oct.

Good idea G2, I'll be launching at the Weyco ramp at Cosi at 0 dark thirty on Saturday to fish through the high tide at 10. How about we bring along our American flags, like we did last winter at Shilshole, so we know who we are?

Please let the board know how the fishing (and catching) is on the Chehalis after the opener. I can't wait to get out there and toss spinners or tune some spoons. Those violent strikes get the blood flowin pretty good every time. My arm hurts just thinkin about them big old hooknoses.

The Monte boat launch was packed, but I didn't fish there today. I played hookey and fished three other rivers today.

At river #1 I saw some steelhead, but no takers.

River #2 I saw folks keeping some black boots. Yeah, they'll smoke up nice.

River #3 I had no joy, but my fishing partner did, unless you count sculpin and crawdads. Gonna have to get a crawdad trap.

Finally got a steelhead at river #1, the second time around.

All three rivers had fish, just have to find some biters.
