Will some one please tell me what that is?, i hear alot of people talking about it. Is it another term for snagging?

In my opinion flossing is just glorofied snagging. I basically consists of people snagging fish in the mouth, so it is considered legal if you catch one. Unfornately it is common pratice here in the Great lakes, that is why the chuck and duck method get so much critisim. Most people who floss use a long leader, small fly and bounce bottom, and at the end of the drift they will do a long side ways hookset. I'd imagine that there is plenty of this going on in PNW rivers also.

Short leaders and jigs work even better for flossing

Flossing differs from snagging in that the snagged fish is involuntarily hooked by maneuvering the hook to impale the fish. Flossing involves the presentation of the hook and line in a manner whereby the fish voluntarily moves to take the line and the hook in its mouth, even if by accident.

Flossing is legal but Snagging is a crime.
