Walked over a Kent area footbridge and saw silvers shooting up the river in little groups of 3-10 fish. No pause at all to these fish's movements.

Eggs have been kickin ass on the lower green. Lots of fresh fish to be had. No nibblers, just CHOMP and then they hit the turbo boost.

The fish I saw were viewed from a footbridge that goes over the river off the "Frazer Road" in Kent. Take the Kent-DesMoines Road, then turn south at the river onto the road that parallels the river.
I brought my eggs and pole in today for a sneak down there in a couple of hours.

We hit the lower green behind the big boeing building and as we pulled up we were shocked to see that blond chick on tv from the green river task force set up right next to where we fish.
We parked, fished just above the bridges and there were 6 or guys combing and diging up the bank of the opposite side while a boat was looking next to shore and another downriver about 200 yards. Dam sicko Ridgeway is.
Fish were jumping all over though but as soon as we casted in the news choppers showed up and hovered right over us. Could'nt get a bite except for the bullheads after that. What a waste of time and eggs.
Hope they torture that psycho!!!

Ought to go down to the footbridge down behind the old Duwamish drive in. Many places there to start with. When the upper opens up, ya gotta watch some of the fools going after the old boots with "lock-jaw" below the hatchery........

I've seen some darn big silvers below whitney bridge in the recent past, chromers, not even slowing down, headed straight up. The boots will bite, but the chromers rocket right on by! If its clear-ish and the sun is right I can see 'em go by in the dozens (on the right day, at the right place ad nauseum) A couple years ago I watched my buddy catch a 16-18 lb chromer silver. That big in the green? No way! Yes, he has the photo as evidence... If you are extraordinarily lucky you might drift your egg and corky right into the mouth of one, but otherwise, lockjaw.

....went down there just because my buddies decided to, sooo packed up the gear, made a couple of cast and picked up two around 6#s. It was one of those right place right time thing. Seen a couple of 10's come up. Wished I'd gotten there earlier when the bite came on. The upper opens on the 16th this week and probably be good for at least a few weeks until the fish get tired of seeing the same crap floating past them. Robert

RiverNut- Read the post from Bigb8fish, he got the point. If you read my post you'll notice "recent past" and a "couple years ago". Where did I tell anyone to go when that part of the river's not open???? I guess you just figgered that I poach!? Anyway, WHEN THE RIVER IS OPEN, that can be a good spot.
