I am not trying to get any enemies but you guys always argue and complain about nothing. You guys spend more time complaining and whining about fishing then you do talking about fishing. I just became a member and I was reading over your posts and most of them did not concern fishing. While reading over some of them I also became aware of some lies. You all have it out for snaggers, however, I have a feeling that some of the people who post also snag.
My first problem is that you guys complain about everything. While reading I ran across a post about people using two poles. Who cares? If someone has enough balls to use two then let them. If you have a problem with it then just shut your mouth, or use two yourselves. Just because someone else has more nerve then you do does not mean that you should run to the game warden and rat him or her out. You guys miss the main point most of the time. Some of you understand but do not do anything about it. The real problems are with the netting of the rivers, commercial fishing, and pollution. The final one that I have mentioned none of you even think of. Pollution of the river is one of the main causes. Most of the watershed has been ruined around rivers, along with damns, and the other countless bull**it left behind on the stream by fishermen. To top it all off you guys worry about people snagging fish and you get all excited when someone gets caught. Did anyone ever think of how f***ed up it is when a fish runs into a gill net or commercial fishing boat.
For some reason no one else on the site admits to snagging. However, I have noticed that salmon in rivers never bite so for some strange reason you guys get them to. I am not saying that it never happens but in most small rivers it does not. If a fish can see you then he is not going to bite. It also seems that maybe you just floss the fish? Who I am to know? Think about it does it matter if you catch a fish by the a** or the head. Of course not. Think about this one, example, the Quilicene has a man made silver run. That is correct so who cares if the fish are snagged, it is man made so who cares. I was there this year, there were plenty of fish, more than anyone could have snagged. Guess what they were all hatchery fish. The game wardens should spend more time making sure the nets around the rivers were the correct distance a way or protecting endangered salmon runs on other rivers. Instead they worry about some stupid hatchery run. Kind of Ironic?
Last but not least most if not all of you are older men. That means that you guys have boats and can go out fishing in the ocean. I went out for the first time out in the ocean and let me tell you any idiot can catch a fish out there. Put a herring on a hook, throw it underneath a downrigger, and in a couple of minutes you have a fish. All I can say is that snagging a fish is a hell of a lot harder. I also went fishing in Alaska for Sockeyes. We were catching them in the mouth up there but they were not taking the fly voluntarily. Before you dog on everyone for snagging think about how pointless it is and that the time could have been spent solving bigger problems. If we could eliminate pollution, commercial fishing, and netting then snagging would not be a problem. Nor does snagging account for a % of all fish caught.

Next for debate, lures or jigs?

Hey fish... c'mon... i'm gonna recomend you get in the boat.

We got a keg... of worms.. and, uh, phytoplankton.

Anybody who's everybody is up in here.

But I don't think that's gonna work in a stocked pond.

I just dont have the energy to argue with a pile of BS that big. sleep

Your Moniker and first sentence are immeadiately contradictory, and any credibility to your arguement just goes downhill from there.

Geez they'll let anyone on this site. I would have to say that you'll be better off leaving and coming back with a new name because no one is going to give you the time of day after that post.

Hey!!!! That's not nice!!! Even though he might be, we're not all clueless.

Now that I have that out of the way, I'd like to relpy to "salmon don't bite in the river" That's a load of BS. I have witnessed salmon chase down spinners and spoons and smack them. I've caught a king while reeling in eggs for the next cast, that was a surprise! I've also had salmon strike at a dry fly on the surface. If you don't know what that is, it is a fly that floats on the top of the water. How did I floss that one? I'd recremend either creating a new name or leaving this site. My .02 cents.

Bye snagger.

You might have just set a record for being the biggest jerk we have had on here for a while.

BTW. What size trebles should we be using?

You seem like you have it down pretty good.

luv2snag,

Welcome to Piscatorial Pursuits and the world of pluralism. Everyone's entitled to his own opinion, right or wrong. You're in good company here. There are plenty of members just as willing to judge you as you have judged them.

Your post indicates you know a few things, think you know a lot of things, and don't know a lot more than you do know. Ain't life great? And a wonderful opportunity to learn, providing you approach it with an open mind.

Or maybe you're just another internet troll. It does happen, even here occasionally.

Enjoy.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

In case you haven't noticed we have talked about netting and all of he stuff hat pisses us off or should be changed. Hmmmm.....maybe you should read more than one post before you open your trap. Salmon can be caught in rivers. I have proof and know many of the guys on this board have proof. Just because you haven't doesn't mean the rest of us can't. I am sure everyone has snagged a fish in their life, but not on purpose. and t ws probably released to live another day. Yes fish are easier to catch in the satwater. Mainly because there is many more species in saltwater than fresh. Having rivers with fish a little harder to catch than lakes or oceans makes it all that more fun. I agree with the other replys to you. And for some stupid reason, I am sure, you have the right to speak on this board. But PLEASE think before you open your yap. No one wants to here you talk about stuff you have no clue about or think you know about but are completely wrong about.

The problem is that the dang crackers just dont have the patience to actually learn how to fricking fish. There all for instant gratification and notorioty. River fish dont bite? what planet are you from? Hell, they even bite in small creeks but if your not in to crawlin in the mud to stay out of site it aint ever going to happen for you! Oh whats that? You say you do stay out of sight? Well it aint going to happen for you anyways. Fish dont hit buzzbombs after you plop it on there head or corkies and yarn with five inches of pencil lead in a small slow moving river or creek.

If you really want to catch some fish find a hole that has a log crossing over it and walk out there wearing your hunter orange rain jacket then plop your buzzbomb repeatedly on top of the fish that are left. When that doesnt work real your buzzbomb up to the end of your rod and shove it into the log jam to get the fish back out in the open or get lucky and hook one right in the root ball and drag it out with your twenty five pound test!
