Chartuse Green. Also What seems to work good is if you use a small pink corkie and chartuse green yarn with a red hook. That's my favorite setup when I'm driftfishing for Chums.

it's my experience that chums will usually slap what you throw at them. i have seen some light biters here and there, but for the most part they hit hard

Sullie, When the water clears after these rains, try a 1/8 or 1/4 oz pink marabou jig under a float. If the dogs are in you will have some fun. Dont be afraid to tip the jig with shrimp tails or prawn meat. Dont give in to the Chum=green gig. There will be some silvers in there too, along with a few early winter steelhead and all three will clobber the setup mentioned above.

When the Chum are really in and on the bite, you can use navel lint and a booger on a bent safety pin and they'll hammer it.

Like Bank walker, I like a fuschia pink jig under a bobber. I don't use any scent, and it works fine. Green corkies and yarn will work, black and orange will work. Bait wrapped kwikfish are absolutely deadly from a boat, hard to fish from the bank.
As someboady else said more creatively, when they're fresh and on the prod, they're not real picky. Later, nothing but the back will bite, no matter what you use.

Went to the Hood and saw a guy with a float and anchovies off by himself catching them off to the left hand side of the hatchery. I thought about joining this purist, but instead succumbed to the temptations going on out front. In the late afternoon, with the tide coming in, it was fish after fish after fish. Big large males seemed to smack the yarn, others were snagged. I tried to keep the retrieve slow, but snagged 4 out of 5 anyways.
