Fishing was slow out at Midchannel Bank (and coooold and choppy). Anyone have better luck somewhere else?

Possesion started slow this morning but picked up as the tide slowed. Wish the wind would've done the same. Lots of sub legal fish (18" - 19") and some dandies around. Black and white seemed to be the prefered color combination be it on flies or spoons. 4" silver horde in the 835 pattern also did well. Everything dragged within inches of the bottom! smile

The Chums were really thick at PNP. We caught 3 and lost 5-6 more on Saturday. We saw 15-20 fish caught, but most were Chums.

Fished Posession's SE corner of the outer bar. Fishing was fantastic Saturday morning. We limited out early (3 BM) and kept fishing for some late coho or chums while we C&R'd BM. Had countless takedowns with good fish on for a while and also had a number of strong hits that would just pop off the rigger. Fished right on bottom, occasionally bumping just to let them know we were there. FYI, green/glo hot spot with about 40-45" leader to a 4" green/white coyote spoon did the trick over and over and over....

What great fun.

Froze out at Possession into 2 24" BM's on Coyote's. My silver coyote has caght me a 22 lbr at Tulalip, 6-8 coho off Edmonds, 2 nice Chinook off Dolphin Point, and nowBM. Could not get a chum though. Can you troll for them? We saw 3-4 jumping on the surface out about 1 mile NW of the east green bell.

We managed to get an incidental chum both sat. & sun. with a black and white streamer pulled behind green hotspots just off the bottom on the outer bar. Marked lots of fish between 50 - 70 ft which I suspect were chums. Saw lots of action both days! Were off the water with limits before noon each day. thumbs

Sullie13, HBP and I caught the chum mooching herring off the point. We caught them rite off the bottom, we caught them 60 ft down and we caught them at the surface. They were so thick all you had to do was have your herring in the water.

I've had some luck trolling for chum. Troll dead slow... so slow hotspot flasher isn't even rotating...just moving back and forth. Army truck or lime green hootchie. I troll maybe 40-60' down and back further away from boat than with blackmouth or silvers.
