Loc: Kennewick,
For all of you S & G fans;

I took my wife to the Simon & Garfunkel Concert last night at Key Arena and it was absolutely awesome. Those two can still sing and harmonize with the best of them at the young age of 62 & 61 respectively. Did anyone else get the opportunity to see the concert. I would love to hear your thoughts on the concert.

Nope I did not, but I bet it was a real treat, you don't hear harmonies like that now-a-days.

Cool!!

um... how much were those tickets? Back in the day, concerts were $5.50 - $7.50 to see bands like Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, etc, etc. Course, I was making $3.75 an hour. But for sure my hourly hasn't kept up with Simon and Garfunkel's. Glad you got to see them them, lucky you!

Atta boy FJ15...........you don't have to listen to the old crusty music, but this IS Simon and Garfunkel we're talking about here.

I have some I listen to occasionally.........you can find it under the AC/DC, Soundgarden. Metallica, Judas Priest, Alice in Chains, and Scorpions CD's.

"Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again.........." That's GOOD stuff, even without a Gibson SG.

Dan: Your grouping Soundgardern, Mettalica, and Alice in Chains as old stuff? eek That's not old at all. I have noting against them as I like them all but when I think of old stuff, I think of classic rock, my favorite type of music. Led Zeppelin, old Aerosmith and Ac/Dc, The Doors, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Boston, I could go on...

Mike: I when to a Aerosmith concert last year that cost me 60 bucks for the cheep seats. Oh and in the EMP there are tickets to Woodstock '69 that where $8 a day for three days. That would cost over $300 a day now.

Nah.......that's just the stuff the sits on top of the pile......mainly the AC/DC.

For classic stuff, I make myself a CD mix of old music. Other than AC/DC, I don't need a whole album's worth of the Stones, Who, Guess Who, Zeppelin, etc. If it's AC/DC, it can play as long as it wants.

I listened to a Limp Bizkit album the other day. Garbage. WTF?

Never felt the same about them after the '1984' album.

Before that, they were a great rock band...........then they turned into a bunch of synthesizer playin', camera smilin' pretty boys.

Love the old VH, though.

Piper.... System of a down ??? Talk about crap. Kids will buy anything, which is how RAP happens..

If your listening to System of a Down your for sure living in your parents house, eating their food and watching MTV. Go empty the dishwasher or something usefull.

I say this because I have one of those little morons not 30 feet from me right now.

I came home from school one day and my mom was bawling cause Elvis died !! It was Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath that got my old man fired up

More of an AC/DC type dude who has been caught with Hank Williams senior in the truck more than once. Neil Young but never Neil Diamond

I will keep that thought about the nursing home in mind !! thats a scary !!! Maybe I should give him 40 bucks every time he emptys the trash, let him sign up to play Ever Quest.. stay up late, run with a leatherman tool.

Made him play "give me something to break" by Limp Biscuit in the car for his mom a while back. Embarassed him and freaked her out.. He does like to hunt and fish so we keep him, we just won't let him play his tunes without his head phones on.
