Cast n Blast and Stlhdfshn: I am about to go with the Filson chest pack, but wondered about it interfering with the rod when float and or drift fishing. Any problems that you have noticed.?

I don't know about the Filson Vest but that is a good point. The pockets on my vest, the big bottom ones do get in the way if I over stuff them.

No problems that I have encoutered. I suspect in a float tube things could in the way- same as a vest though.

Check the link Jerry posted above, it is the one I have.

It has both over the shoulder straps and straps connecting the front to back under your arms.

I really like it and would never go back to a vest.

surecatch the one I have is the same as the the one in the link Jerry posted also, at first it seemed to get in the way a little but anymore I don't even notice it .Its very adjustable also so if you tuck your rod butt up under your arm you can raise or lower where it rides to your liking same goes if your casting backhanded and I second what Cast and Blast says I wont ever go back to a vest either. thumbs
