Stopped by Kennedy this afternoon to check it out. High tide so I guess the snaggers didn't have much of an advantage. Never saw fish roll. So the little lady and I went upstream to have a look. Nice bunch of Chummies dating in the pool under the bridge.

We took a stroll upstream and when we came back there was a clown tossing a spinner into the school.
I axed him what he was fishing for, "cutthroats! I do it every year."

I said something about the law and said something about me minding my own business and kept cussing me out as he quickly departed.

There were a few words exchange and he got to his car and out of there lickity splits, I probably would have taken note of his license plate.

However, it is not my job to enforce the law , nor to "narc" out some dumbass. I felt kind of weird running him off the river and my bride thought that maybe I should mind my own business. I told both of them that if he was fishing within the law he wouldn't have ran away like that.

At least there was no gun play or thievery. A lot of poaching goes on in that area and they are only chums, but doggone it beathead

And if you are the guilty party and you happen to getting your fishing info from monitoring this site you are a punk! mad

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I fish Kennedy every year amongst the chums to hook cutties. I use trout gear.

If you didn't see him snagging chums you might want to mellow out a little. If he was snagging them, a call to the poaching hotline is always a good idea.

Your going to be just as guilty if you do nothing. Remember that next time you see something bad happening.

Me thinks that fishing time wasted in confrontation rather tha in having fun is indeed deducted from your allotted hours.

You can probably double that for time wasted inspiring disharmony on the web.

My goal in gettin out on the water is to enjoy my companions and nature and maybe even catch a fish.

Dan, the first thing I asked the kid was "Is this part of the river open for fishing?"

"I don't know." was his reply. Enough said

I didn't get worked up, he did and it was out of guilt.

never knew about cutthroat fishing in KC...it any good for searuns?

i hear it also gets a few steelhead?

i was there last week, and there was this weasely looking guy standing below me halfway into the creek(i was fishing inside the bend a ways below the meathole where the fish also stack). he would make a 7' cast, which is all it takes to get to the other side from where he was standing, let it sit for a couple seconds, then JERK as hard as he could. after about 10 minutes of this crap, he apparently got frustrated and walked up to the meathole where he belongs. at least he wasn't somewhere snagging kings...but cmon, if you have to drag chums in by the tail 100% of the time to catch them, you are really doing something wrong

Yeap you're on the wrong side of the river.

The river is closed to salmon upstream from 101 southbound

Yeah....when you said he scurried away I figured he was a chummer looking to outsmart the crowd. Anyone trout fishing legit wouldn't have worried.

If the Gamie sees you above 101, you'd BETTER have trout gear in your hand.
