I havent thought about this much but find it interesting.

Nearly all the people on this board that have the same views on our rivers and wild fish as I do not agree on most all other issues.

Nearly all the people that dont meet eye to eye with me on our wild fish and our rivers agree on most other issues.

I gues I am a bit strange.

I do see the points of views of guys like Plunker, Grandpa and Cowlitz and understand the reason why they feel the way they do.

I think they are looking more at the big picture, when it comes to things like freedoms and rights and they look at fishing issues as related.

My beliefs and opinions on fish issues wont change but I feel like im a little stuck in the middle.

Seems like politics creep into alot of the fishing discussions. I think that a person should not be branded as an environment hater if he disagrees with extreme positions. Then some say that if you don't agree to breach the dams you are extreme as if breaching them is normal and not extreme. The middle is a good place to be because that is where most of America is. Like on this board the middleground folks don't say much.

Mr. G

I seem to remember the great Salmo once saying, "This is a pluralistic board".
Or something like that.

How bout this for strange?

You and I are basically political opposites, but share the same conservative views toward fisheries management.

Welcome to the Black Sheep club!
