DJFISHS2XS Returning Adult Registered: 12/19/02 Posts: 274 Loc: Oak Harbor Wa	hey make a product called reel magic, its a silicon spray for the line (work great on spinning reels) . spray it down with that works just like the pam but doesnt stike as well which is a great advantage when you wash your stuff after fishing. if they start freezing reapply

I lived in Eastern Wa. for the last 16yrs and vasoline kept the guides clear even in 5 degree temps. The small tubes they sell as lip balm fit in your vest so that you always have it with you. _________________________ Teach a kid to fish!!!

Just dip your rod into the water every 5 minutes or so, it works great for me without putting all that gunk,wd40,etc on my rod.
