Was wondering if the steelies are around in big numbers at the Lyons Ferry Hatchery, the mouth of the Tucannon River, or the Tucannon River. Probably a little late but worth checking. Anybody in that area?

Went to Lyons ferry last Sunday. Cold and rainy (good ol Steelhead weather) and saw just one caught by the hatchery- four guys in an anchored boat, using dyed shrimp with bobbers.
Another friend of mine was up at the mouth of the Toucannon for two days. He was drifting bobber and shrimp. He had two on but lost em both. It seems to be slow every where on this side of the state. help

If you are considering the Snake at Hells canyon to be on "that"side. You quite possibly could be wrong about cathing being slow there. It has been bang'n there. Have also heard of 20 fish days at Ringold. Wawaii has been hit and miss as usual.

Have you tried fishing upriver of Hwy 12? At this time of year and into December, it's typically pretty decent on up toward King Grade. The mouth is usually the best bet in September and October.
