The Sno-King Chapter of Puget Sound Anglers held its first annual blackmouth derby Saturday the 22nd of Nov. The fishing was really tough and it was really cold out there. We weighed in 9 fish with the top cash prize going to a fish of just over 9# cleaned and dressed. I must admit to 6th place with a miniscule fish of 4.8# cleaned and dressed. We lost one fairly large fish to seals. As we reeled in the fish and it got close to the boat I saw 4 seals in a semi-circle moving towards the line....down they went and all of a sudden ..no more fish. The winner came on a plug.
