Hey UM, did you notice the choice of lure that won the Everett derby last weekend? Try those in our area for bigger BM's too. Less shakers, more keepers.

Hi, I'm new to the board but thought I'd add my 2 cents. Grandpa and I went out last sunday for a few hours to Hat Island in 8-2 and fished deep on the riggers between 90 and 240ft., managed to hook 2 and only landed one small BM just below min. size and then the second one was in the high teens at least and possibly bigger but after 10-15 min into the fight and almost to the net a big bull sea lion grabbed my prize and the fight was on,but after a tug of war for the fish, I decided I'd rather be fishing again, oh well!Damn lions!!!

Elger Bay and Baby Island last weekend. Several blackmouth in the 6-10 lb range. 3 boats out fishing there and all did better than most places did. Good Luck
