I was on the Grand Rond this last weekend and saw nothing at all. the fishing for me was really slow. i was told that the fishing was slow because of the cold weather and low water. i am going back down there on sunday to try my luck.

Just wanted to know if anyone had any oher reports on the river. thank you

Havnt heard a thing. I normally dont go until the last couple weeks of February until it closes in March.

Try giving Bogans a call. They are usually pretty good about telling it like it is. Better yet if you see "Fish Johnny" (the area state biologist) he wuill give you the straight scoop if you walk with him...and can keep up.

Have you seen him(Fish Johnnie) this fall? Am curious, cause I haven't seen him yet this fall at Heller bar like I normally do. The last I saw of him was in March at Cottonwood. I'll never forget the ration I got from him when I told him I tagged a 36"er that day.Needless to say he was pretty quiet after measuring.

No but I havnt been fishing around his usual areas. A coworker saw him (I assume it was him - the guy is new and wouldnt know Johnny from Adam) a month or more ago at Ice Harbor.
