Heard the river is heating up. I have never fished it and was wondering if there are any long streches for bank fishing/hiking or is it mostly private.

The bank access is mostly private. The hatchery is a good place to begin. The current river conditions are high and muddy. After looking at the weather forcast for this week. The river will continue to be unfishable for a while.
