If this was already posted, I missed it.

I realize many that participate in this board already are involved much more than most, including me.

SALMON RESTORATION LEADERS NEEDED!
Eight-person board has 2 vacancies: one seat to represent sport interests and one at-large seat.
A statewide Board is looking for dedicated volunteers to provide leadership, direction, and support to the Regional Fisheries Enhancement Group (RFEG) Program at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. These volunteer positions offer a chance to restore salmon and develop strong community-based restoration actions. A bias for action, and interest in good science and great projects a plus.
These voluntary positions are two of an eight-member Advisory Board that meets quarterly throughout the State to review and approve projects for salmon recovery proposed by the 14 Regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups (RFEGs). These positions also review and comment on agency policy toward RFEGs and propose new legislation to increase the effectiveness of the RFEG program. Travel reimbursement and per diem expenses are available, but these positions do not receive direct compensation.
Persons wishing to be considered should submit a letter of interest and a resume to the Director of the Department of Fish and Wildlife by Dec. 1, 2003. The three-year terms begin January 2004 and expire Dec. 31, 2007.
