PORT TOWNSEND WDFW PUBLIC HEARINGS

Take a look folks. Here is a list of rivers your WDFW is proposing to
make fishing rule changes on. If you care about what's happening on
your favorite river or lake, write a letter or get on the bus and
tell the Commission yourself.

The Washington Fly Fishing Club is providing a motorcoach to the
Commission hearings in Port Townsend on Saturday, December 6.

The bus will be in the waiting area at the Edmonds ferry terminal and
will depart on the 5:50am ferry to Kingston (the bus needs to leave
at this time in order to get to Fort Worden in time to sign up).

Parking is available near the ferry terminal.

The bus fare is only $5.00 (includes ferry fare). Please plan on
boarding the bus in the waiting area between 5:15 and 5:30am in order
for us to pay the correct ferry fares.

The bus will leave Port Townsend at approximately 5:00pm to catch the
6:30 or 7:15pm ferry back to Edmonds.

For reservations, please call Scott Hagen at (425) 673-1355 or email
him at: scott4fish@comcast.net

Be part of the solution or be part of the problem. It's all up to you!

I wish you luck......I won't be participating......guess I get what I deserve, but wrangling with WDFW at public hearings, I'm sure, takes away more years of my life than my smoking. I get so pissed I can't even be civil. I'm convinced they just do this so they can say, "We listened and decided to do it our way."

The number of proposals tell me that their modus operandi is, "The more #hit you pile on the table, the better. Some of it will stick!"

Sorry, but I have NO FAITH WHATSOEVER in the process. I really do wish you all the luck in the world, however....would love to be proven wrong......but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Boy I agree that the commission meetings are frustrating. Fortunately I'm not shy and say what is on my mind. So do alot of other people. If you are not at the table you will be left out of the process as if you don't care so we go and go and go and get frustrated and mad every time but we are making progress. We will make progress with the politicians too who, in the end will be the ones to change the laws we all want changed relating to sports fishing opportunities.

No, it is several miles away. Perhaps you can arrange for a pickup though.

I hope you 'crab guys' (me included) get a chance to voice your opinions... Looks like the 'bad guys' have scheduled enough proposals to take up all the meeting time -- thus screwing you over!!!!!!!

Good luck.

I always get the impression that the commissioners hate listening to public comment and only put up with it because the law says they have to. Lisa Pelly stopped me in mid sentence once in Olympia during my testimony because I starting talking about gill netting in a negative light.
