Believe it or not this actually worked, but I only ever had the one day to experiment with it so the explanations as to why could be many...

I had to clean it up a little after I took the pic to make the plug work properly...

For the record, I hate the front seat unless I am casting...mostly because I think up really stupid junk this.

Your onto something,
I have a terrible problem when in front, I fall a sleep. Needless to say I have pissed a few oarsmen off.

I don't doubt that it will work. Sounds like good idea to me.

I catch up on the sleep I missed the night before because I was too jacked to get on the river to catch all those fish that I inturn managed to whiff, cracker, break off, lose etc. etc.

...ain't that right, Bob? <img border="0" alt="[wall]" title="" src="graemlins/wall.gif" />

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Why not get the best of both worlds? This past year, I pre-cut all my sardine fillets from each pack of sardines... six baits per sardine.... and threw them in some leftover egg juice/cure in a ziplock bag. This combo provides fresh sardine oil, procure, salmon egg juice, and an accent color all from the same sardine wrap. The marinated sardine fillet probably holds up a lot better than a wrapped egg cluster. It sure worked wonders on the Kenai.

Boy, not me...I love the front and I don't necessarily have to think of anything.
Call me simple minded, stupid or whatever. Ummmmm Hmmmmm, Yep their still workin' Ummmm Hmmmm. Bet there is a fish right 'bout here Ummmmmmmm Hmmmmmmm.
Yep, that there's a leaf. Ummmmm Hmmmmm.

The longer I sit up there the better my chances are that IT is going to happen, the longer it takes the sooner it will be. I can sit idley ALL day. Every twitch, pop and jiggle keeps me on the edge of my seat. I get excited if a plug fouls on itself! Yes... I get to mess with them. So, instead of burning out half way down the river towards the end of the day, the anticipation actually increases. How many fish have you got right before the takeout?
For me, it all comes from always doing the rowing. I may only get one or two afternoons a season up front and I'll make the most out of every second.

I love the front seat. Hot cup of coffee, heater going, watching the plug rods. Yeah baby.

But I've done that before too H2O. Same scenerio too, but was on the bank plunking. I egg wrapped a hotshot and put it out on a sideplaner. Caught my limit of steelhead on setup on the Nooch.
