Its now official...I drive to Forks on Friday to pick up the keys to our new residence in Sappho!! Sadly, its only a rental but the option exists for us to buy down the road....
Did I mention my back yard is the Sol Duc?
Did I mention the hatchery is across the street?
10.5 acres
two truck and one car heated garage w/ heated shop
I have some extra rooms in the house too so I'll be looking into the legalities involved with subletting rooms, either to tenants or to fishermen.
All three or four of you on this board that I consider my friends now have a place to stay WHENEVER you come over....how cool is that.
Second happiest day of my life!!!
Who wants a kiss?
YAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

You are going to have to change your Homeport from Pugetropolis to Fishy-tropolis!

I was in Beaver last week and got to thinking to myself...you know I really don't see all that much in the way of beavers around here, I wonder how it got its name?
I'm so stoked right now I'd kiss Grandpa! Hell...I'd even kiss unicycle man.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Glad you made it out that way.
Sapho is better than beaver, I lived in Beaver the first year or so I was out there. Beaver is somewhat of a hole if ya ask me.
What ya plan on doin for work?
Im sure I will see ya out that way one of these days.
A word of advice is to be careful with who you have contact with out there. Forks is the major hub on the North Coast for drug running from the south as well as one of the largest importers of drugs from BC comming in from the ocean ports in the area. One of the largest Meth Lab dump sites ever found in the PNW was found out there very recently. Be careful who you befriend.

Thanks for the heads up Rich...I'd say I'm a fair judge of character, I shouldn't have any problems in that respect As far as what I am going to do for work goes... My official status right now is 'retired'. I don't think I'm ready to announce my plans just yet...also not sure if that's such a good idea, and NO, not because I would be doing something illegal. I will be fishing an awful damn lot this Winter/Spring though, that I can guarantee you....

H2O, Congratulations. Looks like a dream spot you will enjoy for years to come. No doubt your situation is different but oddly when I moved to my dream spot on the Cedar many years ago with a home office that overlooked a classic steelhead run off my front yard, I ended up fishing it far far less than I had ever fished it before. It wasn't till I moved away that I realized how little I fished it while I was there. Just mentioning it so that familiarity does not breed contempt. Live long and give thanks.
