I live in Kitsap county and I was wondering if anyone can give me some ideas for winter blackmouth? I usually go to point defiance but with the bridge work I am looking for alternative spots in the Gig harbor area. I have a 15 ft boat with out downriggers so I am looking for a place that I can mooch. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Buckmaster5x4

Give Manchester or Harper a shot.
There can be some excellent BM fishing in the area for those that take the time to know it. Lots of places to explore and even some spots you can hide from the bitter cold winter wind. Always nice to take a break and stretch your legs on Blake Is. too.
Good luck.

You could launch in GH and travel across- weather dependant.

Manchester gets a vote from me too!

Launch in Gig Harbor on the county side and fish along Sunrise beach, mouth of the harbor or Pt. Evans, tides depending.

That's prime BM country.

Dalco is also a good BM spot. Really you have several areas you can hit on an outing from GH.

SU's John Keiser has an excellent video that you may find interesting about fishing the Narrows for BM.

The mouth of Quartermaster harbor might be worth a try too. Or maybe the east side of Browns point. Between Browns and Dash Point.
