Nice Mahi Mahi / Dorado / Dolphin fish Bob (they are all the same fish for those that don't know, depends on which ocean you're fishing as to what it's called)

Are they harder to hook when they are hairlipped?
What are your thoughts on whether the "trait" would be passed down to future generations? Maybe he ran into something - or something ran into him?

I caught one like that about 6 years ago on the Sol Duc and it was a native fish. I missed the bite on that fish 3 times before I got a solid hookup. I couldn't figure out why the fish could chew on my bait for so long and I would miss it? Once in my hands the reason was quite clear. One of the weirder things I've seen. I've never caught one with a would eye.
