i have a friend that works at the casino in ocean shores and heard that they are going to closes the hacthery because the don't have enough money to keep it runnin has anyone else heard of this

Had not heard that yet....but isnt it an oxymoron to have "casino" revenue out there yet there isnt enuough cash to run a hatchery?

if it is true i think it is they would rather have more fish in cook creek so they can net them and not have us to contend with they havest in all means more fish for them

Are there any natives in Salmon River? Cuz at least then they would be netting on a hatchery only system...Cook Creek, I mean.

Leastwise, I heard from Letty it was hatchery only.

They are closing the hatchery but the fish plants will pretty much stay the same they will just be trucking the smolt over from the federal hatchery, this might be a good thing since the return ratio for the Quinalt hatchery is actually pretty good!!!PEACE

I talked to a netter this fall and he also informed me that they are shutting the hatchery down on the salmon.
