I have recently fished the Carbon near the Grange, and used a long trail following the river for access. I observed other anglers trying to learn someing, and learn a little but not enough to satisfy me. The river is different from most that I fish because it is much faster and shallower than other local rivers. I was wondering if anybody has any specific ways that they approach small, fast streams which might help me in my quest to learn this river? Places to start would be nice as well.

Thanks for any info!

I'd fish a river with a couple more fish in it. The steelhead are just not getting past the 6 days a week netting schedule on the lower Puyallup. Anyway, to answer your question, I just use driftfishing gear with enough weight to stay on the bottom. Try fihsing below Orting near the treatment plant too.
