I got one last year for shrimp. It works great. For the price, it't hard to beat. You do have to still pull the line tight against the wheel, but it is more like keeping tension on the line than actually pulling. The bigger electric or gas ones are faster and probably require less tension on the line, but the Linehauler fits on my Scotty downrigger mounts and that is one less thing to mount on my boat. A good comprimise, I think. The Robinson Retriever is another choice, but I've never seen one work or heard a personal report on one.
