Was fishing the Lewis East Fork yesterday and first a lifejacket floats by, then a hat, and an oar, until finally very large chunks of a wood drift boat floated by. Was wondering if anyone knows what happened. Is the person OK? Did anyone see what happened? Although the boat is in 100 pieces, hopefully all those involved made it out OK.

Does anyone have any additional information? What section of the river did this happen in? I know that there is a sweeper at the lower end of Lewisville Park, and a tree in the water above Daybreak, but more info would be appreciated - we don't need another accident.

Where did it happen? I know of two sweepers in the river, the worst at the lower end of Lewisville Park. If anyone has additional information, please post it. We don't need another accident.

We're still looking for some gear for the guys that were in it.

I understand there's a vest with some gear in it, a backpack or bag of some sort with gear in it. One of the folding hand tackleboxes with steelheading gear and some rod/reel combos.

PM if there's any info on retrieved gear.
