I know I've seen this in the past, but couldn't find it in the archives. I'll be fishing the Wynoochee this week and was wondering if anybody out there has a # for a turnaround....if there is one.

fish monger:

I live in Central Park, between Montensano and Aberdeen.

There is a number posted at the Black Creek boat launch.....but I don't remember what it was.

River is "high".....drift boats for the past 2 days have had a tough time, water flow is 2700+........Talked with 7 drift boats in the past 2 days.........no fish in the boats, 1 native released and a few lost. Even the plunkers are not doing well.........don't know what the problem is. If its not rain "cats and dogs" I'll fish tomorrow, and will try and remember to get that number. If I do, I'll email it to you.

Buckmaster:

To be trueful The Wynoochee is not really a "bank friendly river", and is getting less and less as more "old accesses" are being shut off.

Best advice would be to "get in your vehicle", drive down........start as low as you can, keep track of mileage, then look for parked cars along the river. At that point, note the mileage, maybe even walk down and bs with those that are fishing. huh others won't give you the time of day but even then I'd watch and see what they are using.

I jet boat this river so I just go to where the boat launches are.

Probably not what you wanted to hear but......?????

Hey Drifter,

I'll actually be floating it tomorrow as well. We'll be in a red Fishrite drift boat, so if you see us, be sure to say hello. Unless someone else writes in with the turnaround #, we'll just take two rigs. No big deal.

I've been hearing pretty slow reports as well, but the weather's suppose to be nice and as your moniker says....

Good luck tomorrow.

You won't have a very long float, it's running 2600, that is fast and high. There is another river close by that is in better shape.

There are signs posted at the launch that provide a phone number for a shuttle.

By the way, Drifter does not live in Central Park, he lives in his sled on the river !!!!

Drifted it yesterday, the fishing is slow and the floating is fast. But I had this business card on my window when I got back to my truck.

Fish Monger and TO local:

That is the correct number, 249-3127. Went to the river to check on "fish", plunkers were doing nothing. Sleds left early, no fish...no driftboats in the time that I was there but there was only 1 trailer. River was on the rise, really.

I'm going to try and fish tomorrow.........been sick since before xmas so I'll have to fish long hours to make up for all the time I've missed.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.
