Rockfish we're all proud of you for how you have tamed the tiger.
Having grown up in a military family I definately know what alcohol is about. I think that there are more functioning alkys in the service than anywhere else. Being an old guy booze was the only temptation that I was really exposed to until Vietnam. There was no crack or meth, but everything else was there. Do you think that we trusted our lives to dopers? If the military justice system couldn't handle them the regular straight troopers did. It wasn't pretty but it was effective. Now with crack and meth so prevelant in the US the situation is becoming worse. This stuff gets a grip so quick that treatment options are really limited. If we as a society don't come to grips with the issue we're going to lose a large percentage of our youth to these synthetic drugs.

Don't know anything about the body in the Sultan River but just heard on the news that they found a boy floating in Clear Lake(Skagit Co.). No details as of yet... Wether it's meth or accidental or foul play my prayers go out to the families of the victims.

Have a brother in-law that just moved back into parents house to try and beat the meth problem. Lost his second wife, kids everything...this stuff is insane. It is destroying so many young lives, it' sad... take a kid fishing!

People destroy their own lives if it was not meth it would be something else. It's just s faster way to do it. Cigarettes, poor diet and exercise habits ,general unhappines all point ultimately to a hole in someones thought process that they are unwilling or unable to deal with. Unwilling usually IMHO. It's easier to be a victim because there are so many around looking for the same break for their behavior and choices in life. If you traced back to the cause not the symptoms of why the person ended up floating in the river it will personal choice. Accident or not.

Search and rescue teams, assisted by a helicopter, were used to recover an adult body on the Sultan River on Saturday.

The body was discovered near some logs in the river by two fishermen, said sheriff's office spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen. The body appeared to have been in the river for some time, she said.

She said there was no reason to suspect foul play in the death.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office is performing an autopsy, she said.

Anyone know anything about this ?
Guess I am not seeing where it says-Meth addict, Crank, Skank-found in the river.
