Stopped by Black Crk launch today to see how the river looked. Some asshole dumped his load right next to the ramp. They even brought their own Toilet paper. Give me a break !

I went down there today. I fished the 7400 Bridge Bar all by my self for two hours. Went 1 for 1 on a 12# native buck. I was happy to admire him and release him and no slobbering seals around either.
I took a casual count and from the 7400 bridge down to Black Creek there were over 100 boat trailers and about another 50 or 60 bankies out today, a middle of the week day. eek eek
DOESN'T ANYBODY WORK ANY MORE!!!!????
I'm curious as to what you all think about a permit system that would limit the impact on any one particular river. I think they have something like that in Montana on some of the more pristine waters. It just seems to me that over 100 boats in one day would make for a less enjoyable experience for all.

i'm sure it's gonna get blamed on the outta towners, when it's usually the locals trashing fishing spots in a lot of places.

Chum man:

Locals trash Wynoochee areas????? Why would "we" want to do that???? evil Some of the trash probably was from boaters/fishermen but the vast majority was from campers/swimmers/kids and the parties that would be held there.

Really affects the driftboaters, cause they have that extra distance to go.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!!

I'm with Grumpyr on the permit idea. Your fishing permit only allows you to fish the county you live in unless you are with a guide or local. That will keep the presure off the Nooch.

Let's not. What kind of crap is that? Only fish the rivers in the county you live in? Ridiculous.

I don't savor the crowd either, but I don'y want any stupid permitting system either. I don't need the state to tell me when and where I can fish. If you don't like a crowd, then find less crowded rivers.

Everybody pays for the fish.......everybody should be able to fish for them.

Anyone see the charter boat above Carter ck?
I heard there a 20+ guide sled working all those holes that the poor drift boater try to fish. You know, the poor guy that put his drift boat in at zero dark hundred so he can float the upper river and maybe get a chance at first water. Thats just special !!!

BY the way, the load I was talking about that was dumped at Black ck smelled like Tacoma, so I know it wasn't local Sh%T.. No, I did not stick my face down there to smell it.

Maguana, you cant be serious!!!! rolleyes As frustrating as this stuff is your idea is not the answer.I cant beleive that anybody would even consider that idea. mad Special treatment for a guide.Thats almost like a subsidy for them. But thats just a small problem that people would have to get over to make your idea work.

The whole idea would be way too complicated.Plus how would the enforcement find the funds to run this.Times are hard enough as they are.

Snowballs chance in he!! of that hapenning.Could you imagine how crowded some of the rivers in our more populated counties would be!

Might work good for you if you live in a county with small populations and some good rivers. What about the counties with little river access and huge popu;ations.

As I understand it, the permit system works similar to the climbing permit system on Mt. Rainier. Meaning, there would be a fixed number of permits available on any given day. First come first served with no preference given for guides or locals or out of towners.
This would limit the total number of anglers pounding a stretch of water. Seems like enforcement would be a Royal Biatch any way you slice it.
Now before you light the flame throwers, I'm not saying that this would be the solution to all of our troubles. I just tossed the idea out there so we all could "thimk" about it and maybe even a "discusion" might ensue.

Ok, How about this. You can only fish the Nooch if you live with in 5 miles of the river.

Those people that live near Mud Bay could fish Mud Bay.

Those people that live in Seattle could fish down at one of the piers.

We would agree not to fish Mud Bay or the piers in Seattle. or jig for squid off the docks in Tacoma or where ever it is that people do that.

May be some one could sponsor a bill, it would be as popular as the Ban on Beach driving bill.

Have a great weekend !

Local and Grumpy,
I know how you feel about the over crowed conditions on your favorite river.
I run it to that on a small local river that I love to fish.
But, as much as I dislike it, we as people of this state, should be able to fish where we please. The population of sport fishermen in the state is, and will continue to grow and it's something we all have to deal with.
I know how much it sucks to have to deal with the people with bad manner that a good river attracts. It' seems the bad things will only get worse I'm sorry to say and I don't see a fix in sight.
I will not fish the Wynochee because of how crowed it is. It is a shame.

How many out of town fishermen will cart a washer and dryer or five bags of household garbage 100 miles just to throw it away on a beautiful crick like the nooch? I am certian what neck of the woods the major garbage dumpers come from. evil

Are we hicks out here in this neck of the woods ? I think not ! When is the last time we had a drive by shooting on the Noochie rd ?
How about road rage ? How about junkies tossing used needles in someones's yard.
Living in this NECK of the woods is just that.
