Notice how they didn't mention it only applies to sportsmen. The ignorant public will assume that the measure will affect all fishing.

I sure hope the news remembers these new fish release laws when some poor fisherman dies trying to obay them out in the ocean or anywhere for that matter.Fishing from a boat with high freeboard.Having to try to reach a fish to release in rough waters is going to kill someone for sure.I hope the people that proposed feel guilty for the rest of there lives.Be careful with this law guys and wear a pfd.

Yea, it's too bad they did not mention that those wild steelhead gillnetted in the rivers would not be "released".

Duroboats.......... I too am very unhappy that it applies to P.S.. Maybe someone will be able to file a 'wrongful death' suit against WDFW, when some old guy falls overboard..

99% of you just complain

I don't totally agree with this one but those dehookers (dowels with a cup hook on the end) work pretty good for getting barbless hooks out in the sound. There is no real reason for netting or bringing the fish into the boat.
