Take a look at this, what a shame. A friend had talked to the wildlife official. This was probably one of the biggest bulls this state has ever seen. top 10 b&c

what a shame...

one can only hope that they find the dirtbags so they can at least be held accountable for such a crime...

in my opinion no punishment they would recieve would be enough though...

Despicable!

It's too bad the article didn't mention the reward program for turning in a$$holes that would do something that low. I believe it's automatic to get one if they get convicted on your information.

Anyone stupid and sleazy enough to do that would probably have stupid and sleazy friends who would turn on him in a minute for a couple hundred bucks.

Fish on...

Todd.

I'm not sure about the monetary reward but the 10 points you get to use on the special application hunts would sure be nice.

What a shame I have seen that bull a few times while he was still a live and he was by
far the biggest one I have ever seen!! I hope
Bruce gets the dirt bag that killed him!! That
bull has sons that are not too far behind him
in size so lets hope they stay hidden so the same doesn't happen to them!!

The issues with this animal getting poached
are tough to swallow!!! Lets just say that all the big bulls that have been taken in this state latley ahve been taken by another group of people who can hunt where and when they want with no regard for the animals or laws. beathead

What a shame.I sure hope it catches up with them.Unfortunately we've had the same problem down this way for the past few years.
I know of a couple guys that have killed 3 bulls in the last few years.Usually taking just the horns and backstraps.A couple years ago they killed a 7x8 bull that was a trophy class bull.During dear season. The law has been trying to nab them on these, but they just seem to skate by somehow.Their house got searched once and they were given tickets for illegal salmon and a bobcat or something. Then to make matters worse I run into 1 of the guys last summer and he brags to me about horns that he sold from a trophy bull he killed in Colorado.(ya,right)I wanted to take a club to him right there.I keep hoping they get their dues but I dont know. They both still hunt.

Shoot,

One of the Hoh tribal members has been rideing horseback into the park and shooting B&C trophy elk for years just taking the horns.

They have been trying to katch him with no luck.

Also Someone has been flying hunters into he park via Helicopter and droping them off for elk hunts. All those valleys back in the park and high land praries have some very nice heards and bulls that never see people.

Havent been able to catch that one either.

I hope they get the bass-tirds. how would they fine him or them? A flat fee or a certain dollar amount per inch of antler?

Now along with the criminal penalties there is a trophy penalty. Its $6000 for an elk 5 points or better.Deer 4 points or better.I'm sure there is a loss of hunting priveleges and firearm etc.I've heard of vehicles being taken on rare occasions.
