I wanting to give the new lines a try again.
About 6 years ago I tried the Spider Wire and didn't like it. It back-lashed too easily on Power Casts. frown
I see there are alot of newer lines out now. I'm looking for a small diameter with low memory for the Fraser River this year. thumbs
Give me your experiences on what you've found out. zip

Thanks, Gman

There have been several threads on the topic lately. It appears that as the braided lines (mono is synthetic too BTW) become better, they are getting more popular in more and more applications. Someone on the board put up a survey recently and the winner was Power Pro.

No doubt, PowerPro was the big winner by a landslide. Here's the link to the thread.

BTW, I see you had tried Spiderwire 6 years ago, and I thought I would add that the older (don't know about newer) Spiderwire sucked, IMO. It is the only braid I have tried that I didn't like. It is pretty stiff off the spool, and the coating comes off easily. Throw out that old Spiderwire and try some new stuff.
