Went trout fishing today on the samish river. The hatchery must have released the blackmouth because little 5 inch kings were jumping all over the place. I examended 9 dead parr at the mouth of friday creek and this is my observation 2 were cliped, 2 were partial cliped it was hard to tell if when they got big if it would be apparent. and 5 were uncliped. Im posting this due to about a year ago I remember someone posting about releasing native/wild blackmouth. I posted then that I didnt think any of the BM from the friday hatchery were cliped...I stand corrected some are cliped less then half of what I observed...DJ

PS.. the abundence of new preditors made the cuttys come out and compete for food. I caught (released)9 cutts and lost 3 others the biggest one unfortunatly fell into the lost catagory but looked to be about 16 inches long.....The parr were snapping at the little cleo so often I pinched the barb so I just let them have line and they would spit the hook themselves so no fish were serously harmed during this fishing trip.
