Is there any decent fishing near Silverdale? My uncle wants me to bring my boat up to go out in the salt and do some crabbing and oystering. Then maybe do some trolling if its worthwhile.

I'm clueless. Can ya help me?

About 20 Min North of Silverdale is area 9. It is open for black mouth now you can launch at the Kingston Marina ( nice little boat launch) for 2 or 3 dollars I'm not sure. I would then run about 15 minutes north to Point No Point and fish for blackmouth. You can email me at bazequad@juno.com for more info.

If you cross the hood canal bridge and drive about 30 more minutes you can launch in Port Townsend and fish Midchannel bank.

Just follow the directions for this blackmouth fishery @ Salmon University. They have pretty good maps on this area. Crabbing is closed though.

I guess we'd be launching at Seabeck. How about some info on that area? My buddies dad has been getting a few up there, but I'm not sure if he'll be reachable before I go.

Head NW out of Seabeck, fish Hazel Point.

When are you going to be fishing? If it is this time of year then fish Hazel Pt. if it is going to be when the spawners are running you can fish in front of the Big Beef for silvers go across the Hood canal and south to Ayock Pt for kings or even farther south for both.

Was thinking of going this friday. Heard something of a derby up there this weekend., Anyone fishing it?
