I wish I could like it more. Most everything on there I can not see because of my work firewall.

Without changing my security settings I get some introductory text and the rest is a blank. Not even any links for navagation. I'll change settings for some things but not just to read a pitch for support.

By checking the source I found:

Code:
Insert HTML and Java jibberish here!
It's all Greek to me.
If RFA had a decent web design it would accomodate any browser with any firewall or security settings and apply the fancy stuff where the ability to display it is detected.

As much as I would like to know what the RFA has to say, I almost never visit their site because of it's unfriendly nature.

Sorry Mike! Great Organization but crummy web site.

The new site is still under construction.

Hopefully it will be debugged so all can access it.

It works and looks great on my old 333mz computer.

Mike,

Thanks for the link. Here is my professional opinion; this is not a flame or anything personal...

First, drop the Flash splash page. It is pointless and inhibits users from easily accessing information on your site.

Second, update your HTML. You are using depricated and archaic code (e.g. FONT tags, ALIGN attributes, etc..) and your code is a mess. Look long and hard at using CSS for proper style. Your forms are not well designed, and the site navigation seems to be an afterthought.

Third, your fonts are all over the place and are very inconsistant. Arial on one page, Times New Roman the next. A consistant look is crucial to make a website look professional, and right now the look isn't there. \:\(

Lastly, just because you can make animated GIFs doesn't mean you need to have them on every page. It isn't slick, it's garish.

Now before you get angry and/or defensive, I must say that it is a good first effort and can be made much better with just a little work. I'm even willing to lend a hand if you like. Drop me a line at ryan@yetiarts.com if you are interested.

If I had actually done the webpage there might be the potential to take it personal. But I did not. Actually, everything good and bad about the site is the result of our staff webmaster in out of our home office in NJ.

I posted because it is kink of ironic even though I am Washington Chair I can often not view the organizations web site.

Our ED is in town my understanding is that the site is going to be significantly re-designed, again....
