I agree with EL. I noticed on several trips the am bite really started around 7:30-8am. But I've caught fish all day, afternoon, evening has been good for me. The bite comes and goes. Best bet is to have your wife take the truck back and call for her to pick up when you're done. That's if you're lucky enough to have a wife that will do that (as I am) \:D

Regarding jigging, I don't think anyone has given it muych of an effort as the riggers work so well. You might want to to it, perhaps you'll stumble on a new technique. I would be worried about snagging considering how many fish are down there. The fishfinder would just be solid fish on trips I've had.
