Hello,
Will be on the shore and plunking. Can anyone share a few spots for doing this on the Columbia.

ps.
Would a 12' glass boat with a electric motor handle any spots on the Columbia? Where? Fishing holes close to launch.. Thanks.

Couple spots I know of are Countyline Park just upstream of Cathlamet, which should be producing fish any time now, and just downstream of Bonneville Dam, which gets kicking usually in late March/early April, although last year it took off early and ended quick. Two other places I know of but have never been are just downstream of Vancouver near Shilapoo Wildlife Area, and then a park in the Camas-Washougal area.

Both good spots.

There is another just on the Portland side of the Kalama boat launch that is popular with the locals.

Thank you for the info. I don't have a boat and I am eager to start fishing. I could always wait for them to hit the rivers, but I would like to try my luck on the CR.
Thanks again,
