Has anyone heard how the Satsop is holding up? Are there any new sweepers that I need to know about? I am floating for the first time this year on my Waterskeeter Sunday. I've been coaching Pee Wee basketball all winter.

Starfisher,

There is a complete blockage by sweepers just upstream of the mouth of the Satsop as of week before last. If you're floating that far, you could carry a pontoon boat around it, however.

Sincerely,

The Satsop is clear higher up but a lot of the good holding holes have been filled in a lot with gravel after all the high water. Saturday we got 5 fish for 6 people in two boats. Not my idea of good fishing but hey it was fishing.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Those floods back in October changed a lot of holes in the river, and the bars in the lower river look like they were scrubbed with a Brillo pad.

No hazards I'm aware of, at least from the park to the highway.

If it's raining, there is a bank giving way below the forks that pukes out the lower river.
