What is the best way to rig eggs / shrimp under a float? I will be hitting the river this weekend and would like to give this a try. Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

Just rig it with a drift setup (no corkie) under the float. I prefer to use a non sliding float if possible, and set the depth so the weight rides close to the bottom, about 2-3 foot leader. Canuck style!

I will usually place 3 or 4 split shot on the leader as well. I usually space them so that the last one is about 12" above the bait.

"canuck style" is deadly.

Where's Vedder when he's called upon? \:\)

I like to use a non-slip float as well. I take a dink and toothpick it so I can adjust the overall leader length several times until I know the length is just right for the water in front of me.

If the water has some color I'll sometimes use a really small corkie laong with the bait to add visibility. I run split along my leader like Eddie said, and almost always use a really small piece of split shot right above the hook to get the bait down. My thought there is I want it right down in the zone right away like a 1/4 oz. jig would drop in. Don't worry, the fish wont see it
