I've had to work 12hour shifts the last 6 days so I'm a bit out of the loop but the guys at work are saying the river is closing on the 31st. Just a rumor or is this a fact. I only get to go out tommorrow then I start my tour at work again so hopefully I'll do well in the morning as it might be my last chance.

Rumor, but possible. The plan has always been to try to keep a fishery open through the end of April. They may well continue after that, depending on the run stats.

Just checked in over on the IFISH board. A poster by the name of "Pete" keeps regular updates. Here's the latest:

Oregon and Washington bios. will meet Wed. the 28th. Our quota is nearing and speculation is that I-5 down will close May 1st. It will be confirmed or denied at Wednesday's meeting and, undoubtedly, will be announce in short order via the media and chat rooms.

My sources tell me that Friday the 30th is it I'm down there the last two days and will ride it till the end
