I really enjoy Piscatorials website but feel a bit out of touch and out of the area when it comes down to fishing info. in regards to what is news worthy and informational around these parts of the woods...any good websites in the Eastern Wa. Tri Cities area that I can connect with?

Thanks-

Mac

I am a transplant from Kennewick myself, I had the same trouble as you. I don't live over there anymore but, I still look for info on the Eastside and have yet to have any luck.

Speaking of Tri-Cities. I'll be over there Memorial Day weekend (son has a soccer tournament in Pasco). Any advice from you east siders where I can wet a line? Not bringing a boat over. Any type of fishing works for me.

Wolverine, Yakima river springers will be going on strong then. I'd try fishing right around the city of Yakima as it has lots of bank access to the river along the Yakima river greenway.....just bring your steelhead drift rod and drift gear, eggs under a floart work very well. ....being an eastsider myself, I don't know of any eastside fishing boards.

Wolverine-
The Tributaries are probaly your best bet...
The Walla Walla, lower Yakima, Touchet, and possibly Umatilla (Oregon- need a lisc.) Rivers all offer an opportunity to get a line wet.
Also, below the dams on the Snake (Ice Harbor) might be another spot to try- be ready to plunk!
Not sure of the regs ...so ya better check up on em before you throw in.
Good luck and enjoy the Sun!

Hey John, nice meeting you @ the Wind last week......small world that your daughter works @ my son Cody's school....I met a number of board members this spring. \:\)
I finished up @ the Wind this week, and now am concentrating on springers on the Yakima and Cowlitz rivers.

Thanks for the advice guys. After a lot of years of being a soccerdad on eastside visits I'm ready to get a little fishing in while I'm over. I'll bring along some of my coho eggs and float them down the Yakima one day, and will plunk below ice harbor another. Gonna be fun to try a couple of fisheries that I've never tried before. Sagebrush salmon fishing here I come!

Mac, I agree--there ain't much info out there on the web. Better bet maybe to visit your favorite tackle shop. I'll take this opportunity to plug my friends at Fishin Plus. Richland Rod and Gun Club has monthly meetings too. If nothing else it could be a chance to talk with other fishermen. Or just call me up--I know everything. ;\)

AFAIK salmon fishing is closed below Ice Harbor. Believe you will have to travel upstream and fish between Texas Rapids and Little Goose.
