Does anyone know if the Icicle River in leavonworth will be open this memorial day weekend. And if it is goin to be open does anyone know how the fishing will be. Thanks in advance!

Check WDFW website for details and yes it will be open by memorial day weekend. Having fished this river only a few times, I have learned that it helps to be there on the right day or your flat out of luck. The way i see it and the way it has been explained to me, is that the fish stack in the more friendly Wenatchee and when water conditions are right they will shoot up in pods and if you happen to be at one of the few good holes that day you will hookup. Sometimes it can be days or even weeks between pods.

I wasnt very impressed with the fishery becuase there is such limited access and just too many people fishing because its the only game in town for folks over their wanting salmon.
