Just moved to Wenatchee, and looking for a place to catch my namesake!! Anyone know any good spots for catching dads? Many thanks

Welcome! Douglas Creek, in the Palisades draiange has them, but lots of snakes too! Rat Lake near Brewster used to have a BUNCH!!! Lake Chelan has them too, but I don't know of anyone actually "fishing" for them there. Try Hooked On Toys. They're pretty knowledgeable.

All the rivers have them below 3500'. Most of the lakes as well. I always have a trap and catch them most places.

Read the game laws . There is a trick if you are not aware. In Wash you have to have the same set up for Dads as you do Crabs. You have to have the escape hatch with the the cotton string in case you lose your trap. Most commercial traps do not have this unless you have the old style wooden lobster type. The cone traps take an extra center section with the trap door.
