I wouldn't count on OBMG to do anything for you unless they've radically changed their methods. I went on a trip to the Charlottes with them about 15 years ago. We flew in and never put a line in the water. It was blowing storm force winds the entire five days we were there. Since all of us paid $2,000 apiece we thought it would be nice if they at least gave us a discount on a future trip. The reply we got when we wrote was basically tough ****. Now I realize you can't control the weather but what really got me was they were flying another group of twenty people in at the same time we were leaving and into the same conditions. I've never went with them since and never will. To me all they care about is your buck in their pocket.

OBMG did offer us a concession for our poor fishing success. They offered us one free bottom fishing trip on our next stay. How generous! I know, I know, better than nothing but I still think that organization is a joke.

But you are right, for the price it's hard to beat. I'd rather spend twice or three times as much on a good quality trip.
