Anyone have much experience with 60'' width driftboats, specifically the Willie's model? You'd think that it would draft less water, but do you lose a lot of maneuverability? Worth it vs the 56'' width??????? Thanks.

I have a 16 x 54 Willie's and I love it. I have heard good things about the 17 x 60 but have not rowed one. A bigger boat in general, a concern depending on where you are fishing. If you are looking to haul a lot of weight, I think it's the way to go. If I ever buy another boat it might be a 17. Hope this helps.

Timber (Kevin) http://www.timbersguideservice.com/ has a 18x60 Willie boat. I've fished out of it several times and it is a great boat. Lot's of room, tracks well and drafts less. My next boat will be the same size.

I have a 17x60 Willie. Love that boat! Tracks extremely well. Tons of room and capacity. Wouldn't trade it for any other. I couldn't see myself ever giving up that boat.

Several guides in the Forks area run them. They are a nice way to go. They are probably a tad big in really tight quarters, but for most streams, they row very well and give you some more stability.

I agree, every bit more of bottom area you can get will set you up higher out of the water and thus help handling and ease your day rowing. I just got the 17x54 Willie after owning a 16x54. Why didn't I get the 17x60? It won't go through my garage door!!!!
